Powered by a custom RAG architecture and Gemini 2.0 Flash API, it retrieves context from past conversations using Vector Embeddings — making every interaction smarter than the last. The goal was to build an AI that feels genuinely intelligent: one that maintains memory across sessions, authenticates users securely with JWT, and delivers responses in real time. Deployed on Render with MongoDB Atlas, Aura AI achieves 99.9% uptime — proving that powerful AI doesn't have to come at the cost of reliability.

The biggest challenge was making the AI actually remember — not just within a single chat, but across multiple sessions entirely. Most AI apps reset with every conversation; building persistent memory using Vector Embeddings and RAG architecture meant rethinking how context is stored, retrieved, and passed to the model. On top of that, keeping response latency under 200ms while running semantic search on a growing database required careful MongoDB indexing and query optimization. Securing every user's memory with JWT authentication — without slowing down the experience — was the final piece of a system that had to be fast, smart, and safe all at once.
